Aubrey Rodriguez

Ink Couture Tattoos Austin location is home to award-winning resident tattoo artist, Aubrey Rodriguez.  Joining us from Florida, Aubrey has achieved international fame for his amazing black and grey realism, photo realism, blackwork, dotwork and modern Japanese.  Aubrey's tattoo work is only surpassed by his positive energy and infectious personality: making each session as fun as it is rewarding.  

How long have you been tattooing professionally?
15 years, I’ve worked hard to get to where I am and I will continue to grow and be better every tattoo.

What inspired you into the art of tattooing?
I started as a child with graffiti and grew from there.

Tell us about your preferred style of work.
I specialize in black and grey realism. Making tattoos look as real as I possibly can is extremely rewarding.

What other styles are you known for?
I also do black work and geometric, pretty much anything black and grey.

What inspires you as an artist?
Other artist, it’s amazing what people are capable of. 

Why should someone pick you for their next tattoo/to be their artist?
I take a lot of pride and care into my work, it’s my life’s work. There’s something special about putting art on someone’s body for the rest of their lives.

Anything else you'd like prospective clients to know about you?
Customer service is key. I’m extremely light handed, I make sure my clients have an enjoyable experience throughout the time I spend with them, i come in early and make sure I’m completely ready for them and their tattoo as soon as they walk in, I only take one tattoo a day to ensure their process is not rushed, clients get exactly what they asked for and I aim to surpass their expectations.
