Naisha

Ink Couture Tattoo's San Marcos location is home to resident artist and manager, Naisha. While she excels in multiple styles, Naisha specializes in super fine-line, watercolor, and feminine floral pieces as well as beautiful smooth black and grey tattoos.

What inspired you into the art of tattooing?
I’ve been tattoo professionally for 6 years. After working in corporate for years, I wanted to do something that was real and made me happy. I got a tattoo done by a local artist. (They later became my mentor). We quickly became friends and started to collaborate on my tattoos that I wanted. I fell in love with the environment and lifestyle of permanent art. Eventually leading up to apprenticeship.

Tell us about your preferred style of work.
I really enjoyed the small details. So fun line and micro details. Hand tattoos. Ear tattoos. All the tiny stuff. As well as watercolor I love any style where I could be openly creative.

Why should someone pick you for their next tattoo/to be their artist?
I love when clients bring me challenges. Let’s work together and get it right. I’m patient and don’t rush it.

Anything else you'd like for prospective clients to know about you?
My biggest thing is share with me clients is please don’t be afraid to say no or speak your mind. I can redraw or place a stencil a hundred times. But I can only tattoo it once. And ultimately I want then to be happy with it.
