How long have you been tattooing professionally? About two years. What inspired you into the art of tattooing? I didn’t grow up around a lot of tattooed people except my dad, and I always thought they were the coolest thing. I’ve been drawing since I was able to pick up a pencil and art has been the most consistent thing in my life. From drawing and painting to working with clay, fabric and anything else I was able to be creative with. So when it came time to choose a career, I really wanted to focus on something I naturally enjoy, and tattooing was the obvious answer. Tell us about your preferred style of work. I love tattooing bold line work, stippling, illustrative and a darker undertone in general. I’m all about incorporating macabre, horror, occult themes in my art. What other style(s) are you known for? I’m also well versed with American traditional, neo-traditional, illustrative, fine line and color work. What inspires you as an artist? The darker parts of life inspire me a lot. I like being able to convey a thought or a feeling that’s hard to put into words, through art. My art is heavily influenced by nature and anything dark and spooky. This includes other art, culture, movies, music, etc. Why should someone pick you for their next tattoo/to be their artist? If you come to me for a tattoo, I will always give it my best and you’ll walk away with something you’ll love. I always reiterate the importance of communication through the process of getting a tattoo and will make sure we do something collaborative and unique. |
