How long have you been tattooing professionally (in a licensed shop)? 13 years working full-time in licensed studios, most recently in San Antonio, TX. I’ve completed thousands of appointments and follow strict sanitation and cross-contamination protocols every session. What inspired you into the art of tattooing? I grew up drawing black-and-grey pieces, and I was always obsessed with how shading could create depth and emotion. Seeing that same realism live on skin—and the impact it has on people’s confidence—pulled me into tattooing and kept me here. Tell us about the preferred style of your work. Black & Grey Realism. I focus on smooth gradients, crisp contrast, and fine detail that heals clean. Portraits, roses, angels, statues, hands, and story-driven compositions are my lane. I design for the body—flow, placement, and longevity are planned from the start. What other styles are you known for? Fine-line work, black & grey, script/lettering, and realism with selective color accents when the design calls for it. I also build cohesive forearm/sleeve projects and do thoughtful cover-ups. What inspires you as an artist? Client stories, photography and cinematic lighting, South Texas culture, and classical sculpture. I’m always studying values and composition so pieces read from across the room and still reward you up close after they’re healed. My process is collaborative, I draw custom designs for your body, and I’m consistent from stencil to heal.
