Jason
With a residency at our San Pedro/281 N Ink Couture Tattoos, Jason is a master of black and grey realism and realistic tattoos, although he excels in all styles from stippling and line-work and full color custom pieces. He lives and breathes the art of tattooing and that passion is reflected in his masterpieces.
What inspired you into the art of tattooing? I was 18 years old: a senior in high school. I got my first tattoo by my Dad's friend. I had always been a good artist and when I saw him tattoo me, I was inspired and said to myself, "I can do that." Tell us about your preferred style of work. My preferred style is black and grey realism, Daniel Silva style. I can do a smooth blend as well with mags. But the stipple is my favorite. What other styles are you known for? I am also known for my fine-line, script (freestyle), anime, dainty, feminine and pretty tattoos, and any style of black and grey. What inspires you as an artist? What inspires me as a tattoo artist is my kids: how they look up to me as a Dad following my dream of becoming an established tattoo artist. They inspire me with their passion for drawing that they got from me. The art being passed down and seeing them take up drawing inspires me. Why should someone pick you for their next tattoo/to be their artist? Your next tattoo should be done by me because I can promise you as a client, the tattoo I do on you will be your favorite and best one on your body to date. I will deliver quality every time without failure. My work will leave you amazed with the finished product. Anything else you'd like for prospective clients to know about you? I was taught by Daniel Silva from Season 10 of Ink Master. |
